85 percent of the world’s poor live in rural settings and rely on agriculture to survive.  Plant With Purpose is reducing developing world poverty by educating rural farmers who work to improve their community’s environment.
Our programs help families increase farm yields, heal damaged ecosystems, improve nutrition, increase household savings, and provide greater economic opportunity. Combined, this integrated program solves two major issues facing the world today: environmental degradation and rural poverty.
On average, families working with Plant With Purpose cut their level of poverty by 65% and produce 44% more food. We work in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Mexico, Tanzania, Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Thailand and Ethiopia.
