Organic Seed Alliance
Organic Seed Alliance (OSA) advances ethical seed solutions to meet food and farming needs in a changing world. Their research, education, and advocacy work seek to create organic seed systems that are democratic and just, support human and environmental health, and deliver genetically diverse and regionally adapted seed to farmers everywhere. Each year OSA educates thousands of farmers and other agricultural community members, conducts professional organic plant breeding and seed production research, and advocates for national policies that strengthen organic seed systems. They convene the biennial Organic Seed Growers Conference which serves as the largest gathering in the U.S. that focuses entirely on organic seed. They also lead the State of Organic Seed project, an ongoing effort to monitor the status of organic seed nationally and provide a roadmap for increasing the diversity, quality, and integrity of organic seed available to U.S. farmers.
